Our Programs
See what the lab has cooking
Music has a way of reaching people — across generations, abilities, and life experiences. For more than 36 years, Jersey Surf has brought that connection to communities across the country. The Mobile Music Lab carries that mission forward with hands-on programs for schools, seniors, veterans, and community organizations — built around real instruments, real rhythm, and real people making music together.
Community events
From street fairs to corporate gatherings, the Mobile Music Lab brings an interactive drumming and rhythm experience straight to your event — no musical background required. We bring the instruments, the energy, and the facilitation; your guests bring the enthusiasm. It’s the kind of activity people remember long after the event wraps.
Schools & Youth
Music education opens doors — to focus, confidence, and creativity — that pay off well beyond the classroom. Our Schools & Youth programs bring professional-grade instruments and guided instruction directly to students, giving kids of every background a hands-on introduction to music that sparks curiosity and builds skills they’ll carry forward.
Adult & Veteran wellness
Through our HealthRhythms program, we bring rhythm-based wellness sessions to senior living communities, memory care residences, and veteran groups. These aren’t clinical exercises — they’re shared musical experiences that ease stress, spark connection, and bring people into the moment together. Facilitated with care, and led by people who understand the room.
Drum Jawn
Drum Jawn turns any event into a high-octane percussion experience — scaled to fit your event, from a focused drumming activation to a all-out percussion carnival. Crowds of every age will get up, move, and play together, fully guided from the first beat. High-energy and built to draw people in.
Instrument Discovery
Instrument Discovery puts real instruments in students’ hands — drums, winds, strings, and more — so they can explore what genuinely excites them before committing to lessons or a school music program. It’s a hands-on way for music stores, schools, and educators to spark interest and build the next generation of musicians.
Beatcraft Studio
Beatcraft Studio gives participants a guided introduction to music production — building beats, layering sounds, and learning the basics of modern music-making with hands-on equipment and expert facilitation. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
Healthy Choices
Led by Food Network celebrity Chef Tim Witcher, Healthy Choices brings live cooking demonstrations to community events, health fairs, and outreach programs — using ingredients people actually find on their own grocery shelves. It’s nutrition education that meets people where they are, makes healthy eating feel achievable, and leaves them with a recipe they’ll actually make again.
